British motorcycle manufacturer Norton has released first official sketches of the upcoming Atlas 650. Scheduled to break cover in November 2018, the Atlas is a scrambler model which uses a name used for the 1963 Norton Scrambler.
The Atlas 650 which gets a scrambler-inspired design will feature the signature Norton tank with a floating seat, a high-mounted single two-into-one exhaust, metal engine guard, and LED headlamps with a fly screen mounted on the top of it. Other features include upside down front forks, spoked rims, and mono-suspension.
Although there is no technical information on the new Norton, it has been widely reported that the Atlas will be powered by a new 650 cc parallel-twin engine which will put out between 70 bhp and 100 bhp. Norton is expected to start assembling bikes in India too. Norton has partnered with the Kinetic group and will bring a lot of CKD (Completely Knocked Down) bikes to the Indian market.
